The Haven is on the doorstep of the Abel Tasman National Park, the smallest but one of the most beautiful national parks in New Zealand. The tiny scallop shaped sheltered bays with golden sands and exotic native bush backdrops make a perfect environment to relax and recharge your batteries.
There are several types of boating activities for those wanting a nautical adventure. Tourist launches leave the main beach at various times during the day for those wishing to cruise the enchanted coastline. You may stay on board for the entire return journey or get off at designated stops to walk through the bush and get collected again later in the day.
There are kayaks for hire for the mariner who would like to paddle his or her own canoe, either with a guide or on your own. For the real sailors there are yachts and catamarans for hire by the day or the hour.
Indoor Activities
For those who just want to relax, there is an extensive library of books and films in The Haven, with a television, DVD player, stereo and wireless internet connection (WiFi). Wander around the garden to the swimming pool for a refreshing dip before sitting and watching the activity down on the main Kaiteriteri beach. A warm pellet fire (98% clean emission) provides a cosy accompaniment for wet days.
With so many choices make sure you allow yourself time to enjoy them all.
